Port Lincoln has a population of approximately 13,000 people and is
situated amid rolling hills at the southern end of Eyre Peninsula
in South Australia.
It is 660 kilometres from by road from Adelaide, South Australia's capital city, and is also serviced by both REX Airlines and Airlines of South Australia, the Adelaide to Port Lincoln flight a mere 50 minutes.
The climate is typically Mediterranean with warm dry summers and mild wet winters The area is renowned for its aquaculture industry (which encompasses the farming of Southern Bluefin tuna, oysters, abalone and mussels) as well as fishing, vineyards and agricultural farming.
Boomori Park Arabian Stud is situated on the hills 7 kilometres north of Port Lincoln with sweeping views of Boston Bay.
